From Sports Hub to Soaring Skies: Fun Run, Fringe Activities, and Free Flights to 5 Holiday Destinations at the AirAsia Kallang Run 2025

What happens when the thrill of flying meets the joy of running? You get the AirAsia Kallang Run 2025 — a brand-new, aviation-themed community run at the Singapore Sports Hub that promises to be as inclusive as it is exciting.

Taking place on 27 September 2025 from 6am to 11am, the inaugural event invites participants of all ages, from as young as four years old, to lace up for a 5km fun run or a 10km challenge. The 10km category will flag off at 7am, followed by the 5km category at 7:45am.

This is not a race against the clock. Instead, it’s about celebrating movement, connection, and the boundless spirit of exploration.

The Sports Hub Experience: Adventure Beyond the Finish Line

More than just a run, the AirAsia Kallang Run 2025 transforms a Saturday morning into a festival of activity at the Singapore Sports Hub.

From 8am onwards, participants and supporters can look forward to flight-themed fringe activities such as aviation-themed games, live performances, including a special showcase by the AirAsia Cabin Crew, and lucky draws for return AirAsia flights to exciting destinations across Asia and Oceania.

To make things even more colourful, prizes will be awarded to the “Best Dressed” individual and family, recognising the most creative and eye-catching outfits. It’s the perfect chance to let your imagination take flight along with your running gear.

Win Your Next Adventure: 5 Destinations Up for Grabs

The excitement doesn’t stop at the finish line. Every registered participant will stand a chance to win a pair of round-trip AirAsia tickets to one of five exciting destinations:

1. Chiang Rai, Thailand

Nestled among mountains and rivers, Chiang Rai is perfect for explorers. Visit the stunning White Temple, trek to hill tribe villages, or ride a long-tail boat along the Mekong. For thrill-seekers, cycle through tea plantations or zip-line across jungle canopies.

2. Darwin, Australia

Darwin is the gateway to the Northern Territory’s untamed beauty. Embark on a crocodile river cruise, hike through Litchfield National Park’s waterfalls, or explore Kakadu’s wetlands. For the daring, step into the Cage of Death at Crocosaurus Cove for a close encounter with saltwater crocs.

3. Fukuoka, Japan

A city that blends tradition and modern life, Fukuoka offers both cultural richness and outdoor adventure. Wander through the Kushida Shrine, savour authentic Hakata ramen, or venture to Nokonoshima Island for hiking trails and seasonal blooms. Adventurers can kayak along the Itoshima coastline before unwinding in a soothing onsen.

4. Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia

On the edge of Borneo, Kota Kinabalu is a playground for adventurers. Climb Mount Kinabalu, go white-water rafting on the Kiulu River, or snorkel among vibrant reefs at Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park. The city’s bustling markets and food scene complete the experience.

5. Labuan Bajo, Indonesia

The gateway to Komodo National Park, Labuan Bajo is a dream for adventurers. Spot Komodo dragons in the wild, snorkel at Pink Beach, or dive with manta rays at Manta Point. A day of island-hopping here feels like stepping into another world.

Join the Take-Off

One run. Five destinations. Shared moments that last. Every participant has a chance to win an adventure beyond Singapore, but the true reward is the connection — to fitness, family, friends, and community.

For some, the run is more than exercise; it’s about creating memories. “I’ve completed many full marathons, but running shorter distances with my son, Oscar, is always extra special,” says Steve Fu, who is planning to take part in the 5km category with his 9-year-old. “This time, it’s not about distance or speed — it’s about showing him that fitness can be fun, and who knows, maybe we’ll get lucky and hop on a plane to somewhere new.

Register by 15 September for the AirAsia Kallang Run.
