Each year, as National Day approaches, Singapore comes alive in a wave of red and white. Flags flutter on HDB windows and gated terraces, painting neighbourhoods in vibrant shades of patriotism. Families eagerly pull out their favourite crimson T-shirts, or shop for fresh ones, to match the festivities. In the background, this year’s National Day theme song plays on repeat, on radios, in malls, and in cars, stirring that familiar swell of pride and anticipation.
For the Chan-Rutkauskas family, these rituals have long been part of their August routine. This year, with a spirited 4-year-old and a baby on the way, they’re craving a change of pace. “We still want to soak up the National Day spirit,” says Cherlin Chan- Rutkauskas. “But we’re looking for somewhere we can get in and out with ease, move around comfortably, and enjoy the day as a family.”
This year, Majulah Fiesta 2025 at Singapore Sports Hub delivers the same National Day spirit, just with a fresh rhythm. On 9th August, the Kallang will come alive with music, food, special activities, live screenings of the parade and National Day fireworks. It’s a celebration that goes beyond watching the parade, offering all the heart-stirring moments as a refreshing alternative to Marina Bay National Day festivities.
Majulah Music Hub: Celebrating National Day with Local Sounds
At Majulah Fiesta 2025, the soundtrack of National Day finds a new stage. From 1:00 pm to 9:30 pm, the Majulah Music Hub at OCBC Square turns the Sports Hub into a living playlist of Singapore’s sounds, where community spirit meets irresistible beats.

Whether you’re grooving to new favourites or singing along to familiar refrains, it’s more than a concert, it’s a reminder of what makes National Day special – the joy of coming together, one beat at a time.
National Day Live Screenings and Fireworks at Singapore Sports Hub
Not everyone can score a coveted ticket to the National Day Parade (NDP). For many, the thought of navigating barricades and shoulder-to-shoulder crowds is enough to stay home; but at Majulah Fiesta, you don’t have to miss a thing.
Every iconic moment of the NDP can be enjoyed at the Singapore Sports Hub National Day live screening across four areas: OCBC Square, Stadium Roar, Water Sports Centre, and the riverside walk. From the Chinook helicopter carrying the Singapore flag to roaring flypasts and the stirring Pledge and Anthem, it’s all there, wrapped in Kallang’s lively, open-air atmosphere, where there’s room to breathe, laugh, and cheer together.
To cap off the evening, the NDP Live Telecast ends with a five-minute fireworks display, a fitting tribute to Singapore’s 60th anniversary. Here, you’ll have the best of both worlds. At the riverside timber deck, enjoy Sports Hub’s own mid-level fireworks show, synchronised to beloved Kallang National Day event tunes, with a glimpse of Marina Bay’s breathtaking pyrotechnic show. No elbowing for a spot. No marathon queues to exit. Just an unhurried, joyful finale to a day well spent.
Family-Friendly and Pet-Friendly National Day Celebrations at Sports Hub

Same Heart, New Beat: Celebrate National Day Your Way
The Padang may offer front-row access to the parade, but ticket ballots, road closures, and shoulder-to-shoulder crowds can make it daunting – especially for families with young children, elderly relatives, or even pets in tow.
At its core, National Day is about connection. It’s about exchanging warm smiles, singing and cheering in unison, and reflecting on how far we’ve come together. At Singapore Sports Hub, you’ll still find all of that but with more space, greater ease, and a vibrant energy that gives you the freedom to celebrate in your own way.
This year, skip the rush. Celebrate with the same heart, to a new beat. To find out more, visit Majulah Fiesta 2025.
