Welcome to another week of Sports Hub Stars, where we feature visitors of the Singapore Sports Hub and share their stories! This week we met Rezal at the Promenade at National Stadium, conducting a children’s cycling class.
Rezal, Owner/Head Coach of Happy Cycle & Schoolteacher
ARE YOU FOLLOWING A STRICT DIET?
Yes, but a simple one. I have been trying to reduce carbohydrates and sugar in my diet while increasing my protein intake since March.
WHAT IS YOUR FITNESS REGIME?
I lift weights at least 3 to 4 times a week and I run occasionally, about weekly or fortnightly. I do teach cycling, but I rarely cycle myself due to time constraints.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE SINGAPORE SPORTS HUB FACILITY, AND COULD YOU PLEASE TELL US WHY?
Definitely the Promenade at National Stadium. I conduct cycling and skating classes here because it's spacious and sheltered from the rain. The circular shape also helps me keep track of my distance when I run or cycle. The smooth surface of the running track makes it great for skating as well! There are lots of spaces and facilities connected to the Promenade, like the Skate Park and the Park Connector Network, it’s really the perfect venue for a variety of activities.
The Promenade at National Stadium and the surrounding spaces make for the perfect setting for a variety of activities. Rezal likes to run, cycle and skate at the Promenade, but what would you use the space for? Come down and find out!
