Sports Hub Stars - Faith & Kiki

Welcome to the fourth week of Sports Hub Stars, our weekly segment where we feature visitors of the Sports Hub and share their stories! This week we bumped into Faith and Kiki at Stadium MRT, making their way to the Lion City Dance Convention.

ARE YOU ON A STRICT DIET?

I’m not on a diet but I do track my calorie and protein intake using a variety of apps and AI tools. As of yesterday, I’ve decided I’m going to be super focused on my protein goals. I’m trying to up my protein intake from 70 to 90 grams a day.

WHAT IS YOUR FITNESS REGIME?

I used to work out a lot, but my previous routine has become a bit unrealistic with my current schedule now that I’m dancing a lot. I try to find a balance between strength training 3 times a week and 1.5-hour dance classes between 2 to 4 times a week. I mainly do contemporary, street jazz and heels.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE SPORTS HUB FACILITY, AND COULD YOU PLEASE TELL US WHY?

My favourite facilty has to be Giant Chess. The view is nice, and dancers are always using that area to rehearse. The chessboard is smooth and especially great for breakdancers who might want to do some tricks without getting hurt.

ARE YOU ON A STRICT DIET?

Not particularly, but I try to eat healthily. I eat salads and sandwiches most days at my desk at work.

WHAT IS YOUR FITNESS REGIME?

I dance a lot as well. I normally do 1.5-hour dance classes 4 times a week. I started with street jazz and now I’m trying to branch out into choreography and heels. I’ve actually been hoping to hire Faith as my personal trainer, but we haven’t started yet.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE SPORTS HUB FACILITY, AND COULD YOU PLEASE TELL US WHY?

My favourite facilities are the National Stadium and Singapore Indoor Stadium, I’m here for concerts all the time, most recently Lady Gaga. Even if we don’t get tickets, I sometimes bring my 7-year-old son to the Sports Hub anyway, just to listen to the music and soak up the vibes on concert days. That way we can also leave early if my son gets tired. My most memorable concert has got to be Coldplay; I went to 2 of their shows despite the heat.

Whether or not you have tickets to a concert or a dance convention to attend, from Giant Chess to the National Stadium, Singapore Sports Hub has what you need to hone your skills or spend quality time with friends and family. Come down and see for yourself!
