“We made a new record and we’re really excited. The album is only 26 minutes long, so it’s the shortest record we’ve made, I think since Dookie (39.38 minutes) or Insomniac (32.49 minutes).”
Green Day’s 13th album, titled Father of All…, hits stores 7 February 2020. It has the band experimenting with an eclectic range of genres, from dance to New Wave to vintage R&B.

“The song, was like a unicorn falling out of the sky. I told my engineer, ‘I might look like an idiot, but bear with me. I don’t know what this is, I don’t know how I did it, but this is the direction I’m headed’.”
The song Armstrong was referring to is the title track of Father of All

“Playing a stadium is pretty sick* in itself. But we really wanted to have the biggest rock tour of the year.”
The upcoming Singapore gig will be the first stop for Green Day’s new tour, after which the band will embark on a multi-band
The Hella Mega Tour with Fall Out Boy, Weezer and The Interrupters.
