Eco-Friendly Treats

You can also take heart that GFI Superfruit Bowls & Shakes is an eco-conscious brand, with more than half its products using recyclable packaging. The brand will also eliminate the use of all non-biodegradable packaging by the first quarter of 2020.
Frozen Goodness
The key to the brand’s guilt-free indulgences (which incidentally, is what GFI stands for) lies in the freshness of its ingredients. By freezing ingredients at their peak ripeness, the brand retains each ingredient’s nutrients and flavour. These ingredients are then blended into a frozen treat with an ice cream-like texture.
For the folks at GFI Superfruit Bowls & Shakes, the move to Kallang Wave Mall represents more than just a new location. It also marks the first time that the shop has a permanent location; previously, it operated from pop-up stalls at festivals and events. But the brand realised that the clientele of Kallang Wave Mall matched their own perfectly. Says Jacintha, “We wanted to first build a community revolving around active lifestyle and clean eating, and thought Kallang Wave Mall would be a good base to start with since it is located within Singapore Sports Hub and is a natural catchment of active-living enthusiasts.”
